FARMINGTON, Utah (ABC4) — The day after a 19-year-old was first reported missing, Farmington authorities have said they found her body near Rudd Creek.
Mia Casto, 19, was first reported missing by family members on Saturday, Nov. 2, around 12:40 p.m., according to the Farmington City Police Department. Just before 3 p.m. on Nov. 3, police said search crews found her body above Farmington City, in the Rudd Creek area.
Police did not initially provide details about Casto, but officials told ABC4.com the circumstances surrounding her death were not suspicious.
“The Farmington City Police Department extends its deepest condolences to Mia’s family, friends, and loved ones,” police said in a press release on Sunday.
Police said tracking canines, helicopters from the Department of Public Safety, drones, crews with the Davis County Search and Rescue Team, and other resources assisted in the search.
The Davis County Sheriff’s Office and Centerville Police Department assisted in the search as well, police said.
There is no further information at this time.
