SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Over 1,600 new attorneys across the state who passed the Bar Exam in July will be sworn in by the Illinois Supreme Court on Nov. 6.
Nearly 50 of them will be sworn in with the 4th Judicial District in Springfield.
The 4th Judicial District ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Supreme Court Building at 200 East Capitol Avenue in Springfield.
Justice Lisa Holder White will be in charge of swearing-in candidates for the 4th District.
According to a release sent out by the Illinois Supreme Court, all of the candidates that are set to be sworn in have passed a bar and ethics examination. They were also all certified by the Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness.
Admittees per district:
- First District: 1,331
- Second District: 70
- Third District: 101
- Fourth District: 48
- Fifth District: 54
