CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic at the University of Illinois is now able to provide services for patients covered by Medicare.
To talk about it, WCIA’s Brandon Merano was joined by Rabel Lohana from the College of Applied Sciences at Illinois for a Community Spotlight.
The certification allows Medicare patients of all ages to receive a wide array of hearing and speech services, including assessments, custom ear molds, hearing aids, evaluation of learning disabilities or language disorders, and more.
“It perfectly aligns with our clinic mission to provide accessible and high-quality healthcare to the entire community,” Lohana said. “Our Medicare beneficiaries who have faced barriers in the past and were not able to get that service, now they’ll be able to.”
