SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Three out of four lanes on Lawrence Avenue in Springfield are currently closed due to an emergency maintenance issue.
City officials said sewer repairs closed three out of four lanes on Lawrence Monday morning and the closure is expected to last through Wednesday.
The southernmost lane of Lawrence is still open, but with three out of four lanes closed, delays are expected. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to avoid congestion and minimize travel disruptions.
