FBI Wants To Interview Donald Trump Over His Shooting Injury: Report

The FBI wants to interview Donald Trump after he was injured during an assassination attempt at a campaign rally earlier this month, a report says.

A FBI official speaking anonymously told the New York Times that they have asked to interview the former president as part of their investigation into the incident.

It comes after FBI Director Christopher Wray said on Wednesday that it was not clear whether Trump was struck by a bullet or hit by shrapnel when the gunman opened fire at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

The FBI official told the New York Times that the agency was examining metal fragments found near the stage at the site of the rally in order to determine how Trump was injured.

This is a breaking story. More to follow.
