CATLIN, Ill. (WCIA) — No one was hurt after a minivan burst into flames in Catlin Monday evening.
Officials with the Catlin Fire Protection District posted about the incident on their Facebook page. They said firefighters were dispatched to Webster and McKinley Streets at 6:37 p.m. for a vehicle on fire. When they arrived, the van was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in just a few minutes, but the van was heavily damaged. Photos on Facebook show the front of the vehicle was almost completely burned and partially melted.
There was one person inside the van when the fire started, but officials said they got out safely. No firefighters were hurt battling the flames.
