Springfield pawn shop raided by Attorney General's Office

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — A Springfield pawn shop was served a search warrant on Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

WCIA reporters saw investigators at Monster Pawn on McArthur Boulevard carrying items out of the store. While the Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the search warrant was one of several that were served on Wednesday, they are part of an ongoing investigation that they could not comment on.

The Springfield Police Department is also assisting in the investigation.
