U.S. Consulate General Wuhan Launches EducationUSA Advising Center

Wuhan, August 30, 2024 – The U.S. Consulate General in Wuhan has officially opened an EducationUSA Advising Center at its new consulate office building.

Starting on September 1, the Wuhan EducationUSA Advising Center’s services will be available to parents, students, school administrators, guidance counselors, and education professionals in Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi.  Services include workshops, information sessions, presentations on topics such as student visas and scholarships, university fairs, and support to connect secondary schools and universities in Central China with representatives of U.S. universities.

The Wuhan EducationUSA Advising Center is located at the U.S. Consulate General in Wuhan at 396 Xinhua Rd., Jianghan District, Wuhan, Hubei.  More information can be found at https://educationusa.state.gov/centers/educationusa-china-wuhan.  Please follow Consulate General Wuhan’s Weibo and WeChat for announcements of EducationUSA events in September.  The Center is not currently open to the public for individual walk-in services, but interested parties may contact EducationUSAWuhan@state.gov for more information.  We particularly welcome inquiries from secondary school and university administrators, guidance counselors, and faculty.

EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories.  The network promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the United States.
