ISU won 31-7 over Eastern Illinois, opening up with 21 unanswered points on the Panthers. Tommy Rittenhouse threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns.
OVC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Pierce Holley went 10-of-19 for 72 yards, feeding to MJ Flowers for one touchdown in the second quarter.
The Redbirds, now 3-1, will host North Dakota State on Saturday, September 28 at 2 p.m. The Panthers will look to improve on a 1-3 record against Lindenwood.
